Allen Stone proves himself deeply devoted to making uncompromisingly soulful music that transcends all pop convention. Stone shaped the sound and feel of his new album "Radius" by pushing himself to “get past the boundaries of what I felt comfortable with, so that I could progress into a whole new level of creativity.” Despite that sometimes-daunting process, Radius wholly reveals Stone’s easy grace in blending everything from edgy soul-pop and earthy folk-rock to throwback R&B and Parliament-inspired funk.     @allen_stone

Lovecoast is a tight unit of snappy drums, funky baselines, fluid guitar chording and smooth vocals. The band’s new independent EP Chasing Tides, features five breezy tracks that touch on relationships and the West Coast life. It sounds effortless, but it takes a lot of work to be so easy. For a young band with an entirely contemporary sound, there are plenty of old soul influences for each of them...Regardless of where the music springs from, the sounds are funky and infective.  @Lovecoastmusic

Like Swimming is a Swedish indie-pop trio who may have released their debut album September 2014, but Claes Carlström, Ida Hedene, and Petter Wesslander have been writing irresistible tunes together for seven years—and it shows. With seamless harmonies, lightly propulsive rhythms, and a knack for blending the acoustic with the electronic, they sound every inch a well-traveled, well-polished band that’s ready to stake a bold new claim in the world of winsomely catchy love (and death) songs. Theirs is a music so clear, and so vivid, it’s as if you can see to the bottom.     @WeLikeSwimming

MODOC is a Nashville based trio carrying the torch for the sort of gritty, swaggering rock music that topped the Billboard charts long before bedazzled pop tarts ever had a say. The band’s self-titled debut, released in 2013, revs and hisses like a classic jet black Mustang speeding top-down on a desert highway — each explosive riff and anguished tale taking us miles away from the garage in which it was produced. Since its release, things have really taken off for MODOC. @Modocmusic
